For the past three years, my Christmas Mini Sessions have been filled with laughter, love, and the unmistakable charm of red truck sessions. It’s become a tradition that families and kids eagerly anticipate. The red truck, adorned with wreaths and twinkling lights, sets the stage for some truly heartwarming photos. The excitement and joy these sessions bring are simply contagious. It’s a chance for families to snuggle up, share stories, and create memories that will last a lifetime. I’m thrilled to say that, once again, these sessions have been a tremendous success and have quickly become a yearly favorite, selling out faster than Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve! This year they are going to be on November 4th & November 11th, at White Lake, MI, with very limited spots!
This year, I’m excited to introduce a brand-new mini-session concept: the Camper Session. It’s all about embracing the cozy, nostalgic vibes of the holiday season. Picture this: a vintage camper nestled among the snow-covered pines, a warm and inviting space filled with holiday decor, and the perfect backdrop for capturing those intimate moments. Whether it’s sipping hot cocoa, decorating gingerbread cookies, or just sharing a quiet moment by the fireplace, the Camper Session offers a unique and enchanting experience. I can’t wait to see the magic and warmth these sessions will bring to our Christmas memories this year. It’s a fresh take on holiday photography that I’m sure you’ll fall in love with! They are scheduled on November 5th and November 18th, at Memphis, MI, with very limited spots!

Vintage Red Truck and Camper Session
Christmas is that magical time of year when everything seems to sparkle just a little bit brighter. The air is filled with the sweet scent of freshly baked cookies, and everywhere you look, there are twinkling lights and ornaments in every hue. It’s a season of joy, togetherness, and making cherished memories. And what better way to capture those special moments than with a Christmas Mini Session?
But hold on a candy cane! If you’re new to the world of Christmas Mini Sessions, you might have a few questions. What exactly is a Christmas Mini Session, and what can you expect? What should you wear to look your holiday best, and should you bring along any props or accessories? And how on earth do you get the kiddos (or even the pets) to cooperate during the photoshoot?
Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. In this guide, I’ll sleigh (see what I did there?) all your doubts and queries about Christmas Mini Sessions. So grab a cup of cocoa, cozy up by the fire, and let’s unwrap the secrets to a perfect Christmas photoshoot! ππΈ
What’s a Christmas Mini Session, Anyway?
Well, it’s like a mini photoshoot with a big dash of holiday cheer. These quick and easy sessions are perfect for capturing those merry moments and spreading some seasonal joy.
What to Expect at a Christmas Mini Session?
Expect a fun and fast-paced photoshoot. Mini sessions usually last about 15-20 minutes, so it’s all about getting those fabulous shots in a short time. You’ll be in and out quicker than you can say “Santa Claus.”
Now, this is where you can let your creativity shine like Rudolph’s nose! Matchy Matchy sounds nice, but trust me, they don’t look nice. Coordinated colors are the way to go. Neutrals look great, whites look fabulous! You can wear seaters to make it look cute and cozy! You can also keep it elegant with classic reds and greens. It’s all about what makes you feel festive and fabulous.
Should You Bring Props or Accessories?
Absolutely! If you have cute holiday props like Santa hats, stockings, or even some tinsel, bring ’em along. They can add that extra sprinkle of holiday magic to your photos.
How Do You Prepare the Kiddos (or Even the Pets)?
For the little ones, it’s always a good idea to bring their favorite holiday toy or treat to keep them happy and smiling. As for the pets, well, treats work wonders there too! πΆπ±
Indoor or Outdoor?
Christmas Mini Sessions can happen indoors or outdoors, depending on your preference and the photographer’s setup. If you love that cozy indoor vibe, go for it. But if you dream of frolicking in the snow (or maybe it’s sunny where you are), an outdoor session could be just the ticket.
When Should You Book?
Don’t wait too long to book your Christmas session, especially if you want your photos in time for holiday cards or gifts. These sessions are quite popular during the season, so secure your spot early.
What Happens After the Session?
Once your session is wrapped up, the photographer will work their holiday magic. You’ll typically receive your edited photos in a few days to a week, just in time to spread some Christmas cheer.
What Do You Do with the Photos?
Ah, the fun part! You can use your festive photos for holiday cards, social media posts, gifts for loved ones, or even to spruce up your home decor. The possibilities are as endless as the snowflakes in a winter storm.
So, there you have it, a quick and casual guide to Christmas Mini Sessions. Whether you’re snapping pics with the whole family, your partner, your pet, or just yourself (self-love counts too!), these sessions are a fantastic way to capture the joy of the season. πΈβ¨
Now, go forth, don your merriest attire, and let the Christmas sessions begin!
